ADVANTAGE PLANS (PART C MEDICARE)

Advantage Plans are another way for seniors to provide for their medical needs. The plans are offered by insurance companies that have a contract with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid. The plans are approved by county. Many of the plans that are seen in the media many not be available in the county in which you reside. Access to these plans is limited to specific times of the year or with a life change event. Many of these plans have a narrow range of medical providers or a network o required providers. Some plans offer coverage not offered by original Medicare such as Dental, Vision and Hearing. To offer these plans an agent must have special certifications.
